Fancy-ish hotel with horrible rooms. The bed was too soft, the pillows too thick, the drawer of the night table was full of garbage and had not been cleaned, no place to hang a towel in the bathroom, breakfast was meh with coffee and capuccino made by an automatic machine not a barista... Very expensive hotel that didn't provide even a complimentary bottle of water. When I arrived in my room I found "complimentary" cookies - were the dry pastries offered to force you to open and drink a small bottle of water for the cost of 3 euros? I notified the desk about the dirty night table. You'd expect an apology, perhaps a bottle of water on the house... nope, nada. Employees were rude, too. I thought I had left my key at the desk walking out of the hotel because it's something I always do. When I got back at night I approached the desk saying my name and the room number. The porter replied "And what do you want from me? (E cosa vorrebbe da me)?" Trust me, he wasn't funny. For the money I spent, I would have expected better service.

Dear Guest,first of all, thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We are sorry that your staty did not fulfill your expectations, but at the same time we would like to point out a few things:- pictures and descriptions of our rooms are well exposed on all the channels we work with, so that people are free to decide whether to book or not with us;- the pastries we prepare on a daily basis are just and only as a gift for our guests and we honestly find it quite offensive that you think that we prepare them as a "trick" to force the guests to use the minibar. We have our skybar that constantly works all day long from day to night, so we do not need this kind of set-ups. Also, the reason why there is a pricelist for all the drinks and snacks in the rooms is that in this way our guests know in advance how much they are going to spend in case they decide to eat/drink them, no one is forced to do anything;- we did apologise for the night table and we did send immediatly the housekeeping staff, but if we knew that you'd rather have a complimentary bottle of water, you could have simply asked;- we are quite proud of the quality of the service provided day by day from our staff, and all the good reviews we receive on a daily basis are a good proof. We understand that we are still humans and we may not be liked by everyone, but we also believe that a criticism brought up on spot is more helpful if the aim is to manage it and find a solution, instead of pointing out an entire staff as "rude" after checking out.Last but not least, we would like to remind that "Good morning/evening" and "my name is *** and I need my key for room number ***" instead of simply saying name and room number may always avoind confusion, since we receive tons of different requests every day and we are still not able to read our guests' mind.

What a gem of a hotel. Centrally located, staff was wonderful, breakfast is included

We loved our stay at Hotel Michelangelo! Close walking distance to the main piazza but far enough to where it’s much more quiet and peaceful. Our room was spacious and clean with lots of amenities. The two rooftop terraces and ground floor pool were perfect for relaxing during the day. Breakfast in the hotel had many options of great quality. Would recommend!

Convenient location . Great roof top bar. A little pricey. Bed was very uncomfortable and the maids didnt respect the do not disturb sign

A short walk from the train station (less than 5 minutes) it was above expectations for what we were looking for during our stay in Sorrento. The staff was helpful and very friendly, we were on our honeymoon and they had a bottle of wine brought up to our room. It was close many restaurants and shops. We will definitely be returning when we come back to Sorrento again.
