Nice experience in Andorra

Posted 22 Apr 2017 on Hotels
The hotel is very nice and comfortable. You need to know that nothing is in the around and you need a car for buying groceries or other things. In addition, the breakfast was not so varied, I would expect to be most varied (vegetables for example, fruits, etc). The stuff was great and kindly. Take into consideration is no a club for kids, the only thing is a playground near the hotel in a camping aside.

Terriable place.

Posted 8 Sep 2016 on Hotels
This stay was not as advertised. Hotel reception was closet the bar was closed the restaurant was closed this changed the function of this building from a Hotel to an apartment block. We specifically book this place to be a hotel the pictures of the Bar and Restaurant were what made this attractive to book instead we were told to use the facilities of the campsite next door. The fact that there was no reception meant that people who had dogs in their rooms were bringing them out during the night when they would start barking and waking everyone up. There was no air-conditioning of any kind in the building which meant that it was like sleeping in a sauna during the summer heat. The seating area beside the reception area had absolutely filthy furniture. I could go on this place was a dump. When all of this was brought to the said to the lady looking after things down at the campsite office when we left a couple of days early she just shrugged her shoulders and said sorry, she didn't care as they had been pre paid for the room.

Honest Portrayal of Experience...

Posted 18 Jul 2016
Pros: Location is nice, and from what we saw, rooms looked okay. The staff were friendly...
Cons: Separate check-in for hotel and campground. Also, wi-fi appeared to be a joke as it was shared with campground and no one could get it to work.
Location: Watch Tour de France
I believe this is a decent hotel, the staff are friendly, and you could have a nice experience here. Despite having a reservation, we actually did not spend the night here too, so I cannot speak to the cleanliness of the room or its comfort. However, I wish to report my experience, which was less than ideal. In fairness, the staff did their best to rectify the situation. The first thing to be aware of is that this is a massive campground (expect a bit of chaos and the pool is shared with the 100's of campers), and the hotel and apartments appear to be sort of secondary to that. We attempted to stay here during a stage of the Tour de France, so one must expect some drama. I made the reservations months in advance. We showed up around 18:00, and check-in was a little slow, as they were extremely busy. That said, the staff were very friendly and spoke pretty good English too. We were given a key to our room and walked in to realize the apartment they gave us was occupied. Fortunately for us, the guests were not in the room. It could have been quite embarrassing. Mistakes happen. They kindly rebooked us up the road at a better (and cheaper) hotel. They wanted us to come back the second night, which proved inconvenient with the chaos of the Tour. We had a misunderstanding, where I asked for a refund for second night, they agreed, but did not honor it. It could be down to poor English, but I was not thrilled with how hotel handled it afterwards. Expedia refund us the night.

Nice hotel for families

Posted 31 Jul 2015
Pros: Big rooms, nice showers, kitchen.
Cons: WiFi was not working, same with the safe.
Location: Not the best location, but the metro is nearby with access to the city center.
We liked the hotel, it was spacious and clean with big shower. We had a family of 6 people and we slept comfortably. Air conditioning was great. Staff downstairs was very helpful and accommodating. One minus our room didn't get any wifi reception.

No complaints - the hotel has some age on it, but it really was a great value - reasonably clean, nice room, great location.

Base for Ski ing

The hotel is about a 20 minute drive from Arinsal, Pal & Arcalis ski centres. A free bus can take you there although the nearest stop is about a mile away. Clean a friendly staff. Good value for money.

Excellent value

We arrived late at night after reception had closed but they had left an envelope for us with room keys and a letter. We had an 8 person apartment booked but due to renovations they had to give us three smaller apartments. These were spacious and still had everything we needed. The staff/management helped us with all enquiries and directed us to their laundry and internet services. Our only disappointment was that the pool was not yet open and it was hot!
