Hotel Ambassador in Solothurn has a small town charm and great location on a quiet street only 3 min. walking distance from the railway station. It is also conveniently near the river and bridges that lead you into the historic old town.

Great value

The hotel was very clean. The staff was extremely nice & welcoming. The check-in kiosk outside the entrance was hard to navigate, but luckily the employere was nice & opened the door for us. There is a separate key for the room & the hotel entrance. All keys are on display for all rooms & you have to insert one key to get the other (you only get 1 key at a time.. either room or hotel door). They should update to a card system like most other hotels. Other than that, I highly recommend this hotel & Solothurn has a lot to offer.

No too bad

No Parking place, no good service, rooms look a bit good, the hotel is ok for quick stay

For parking we always find a solution, there is a huge public parking house just a cuple of minutes away when ours are all taken. There are also public ones around the hotel free of charge in the night hours. Best regards

Very friendly but super noisy

I couldn't sleep well: 1) the curtains were not dark/thick enough, so at 5.50 the first sun light came into the room waking me up; 2) and to make it worse, every time someone used the bathroom or the shower or the sink (not sure which one it was) in another room you heard the water going down the pipelines quite loudly, so quite a bad night. The owner was super nice and friendly.

Nice niche hotel. No A/C. Did not care for the login machine on the outside to get your key; I would rather meet directly with the person at the front desk. For after hours help, this would be fine but not just to replace the person at the front desk.

Dear Timothy thank you for your stay and your feed back. As a historic building we can't make A/C it's not alowed to safe energie. Of cours we have reception staff, but after the opening ours of the reception we have a very easy to use self check In maschine. And our phone is always occuped in case of problems.
