"Great location, friendly and helpful staff, an excellent breakfast and a superb pool.
All let down by the lack of air-conditioning and an uncomfortable bed."
"The staff were friendly and welcoming. The rooms were individually quaint but could probably benefit from modernising. The area was scenic and quiet. Would see it more as a 3 star hotel instead of 4."

"It was a great airport hotel. 1 night before an early check in at the airport. The reception and cafe area was modern and pleasant. The bedroom is definitely due for an refurb. A bit tatty round the edges but it was clean and adequate and the bed was comfy. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Food is reasonably priced and there is the option of room service or collecting it yourself and taking it to your room.
I used the shuttle bus both on arrival and departure and it was good, frequent service from outside the door of the hotel."
"The hotel is a little older and there are things that were not well kept, but the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Wish the bus transport to and from the airport ran a little later as the uber to go to the hotel was obscene. For just a quick nights sleep, it was fine, though."

"This is the review which I sent to the hotel itself....Hello, I was enchanted by the age and distinction of your building and we were in perfect timing to enjoy sitting out on your patio and enjoying the vast view over the fields as the day drew to a close. Lovely waitstaff. I appreciated the print out about the history of the place from the front desk when I asked about it. It was definitely the nicest and biggest bed we slept on during our 2 weeks of travel in the U.K. Soft pillows and the clean, white linen felt luxurious. I only wish the smoke alarm (?) above our bed wasn't flashing brightly all night long. It kept us from sleeping well before our early morning flight out. That was the only part we didn't like. With such a large property parking was plentiful. I know it's a good way to make extra money and seems to be the U.K. way, but it would seem that parking wouldn't be an extra charge. Oh, also, my spaghetti carbonara was just so so. Not very flavorful. All else was great! Thank you!"
