"Faded glory, friendly staff bit of a queue at check in and some weird guests in the nicest possible way. But this hotel was perfectly pleasant and totally unique absolutely fascinated us. "Had a great stay at the Royal Whitby. Wonderful views of the abbey and harbour. Easy to walk to the harbour and the abbey if you want to try the 199 steps. Lots of great seafood restaurants nearby. A stop in the Whitby tour bus outside too, which will take you to the abbey if you don't fancy the walk"
