This is an older property that could use some updates... carpets, linens and the bathroom. It did have everything we need and it was a sight for sore eyes after driving from the east in a snow storm. The staff were amazing... friendly and wanted to help however they could. I would recommend this property.

Posted 20 Sep 2023 on HotelsGreat stay at Hotel Varmahlíð as we drove the Ring Road. Friendly staff, comfortable beds, easy parking and clean room. We enjoyed the dinner and breakfast from their hotel restaurant.

Comfortable hotel with Sulfur smell in the water
Posted 10 Sep 2022 on HotelsThe people were friendly here. They have an onsite restaurant and the food was good as well as the included breakfast. The only negative was the hydrogen sulfide smell to the water made taking a shower a bit of an Icelandic experience.
