Toris paradise was really nice! Right on the beachfront for walking and beautiful sunrise and set photos. The wifi wasn’t amazing. We stayed in a regular and supreme room and both were the same. I would also warn that you should not stay here if a good shower is what you need. The water pressure was the worst I’ve experienced in SE Asia and too hot, it was nearly burning my skin. Otherwise it was great. The food was tasty and an ok price and the pool was extremely clean and warm water. They also offer great diving right on site! Overall I would stay again just wouldn’t shower there

Come again

I enjoyed my stay here. I decided to stay here on a spare of the moment on my trip around Dumaguete/Dauin and I’m glad I did. The complex was stunning right on the beach. I only had issue with the food the first night not being what I excepted. Overal, would love to come back again

Could have done better especially with the food

Posted 1 Nov 2017 on Hotels
Staff: the staff was not flexible. If the rooms are available, why not let the guests check in early without asking for anything additional? Very helpful to get transportation at night when the town is already asleep. Restaurant: the food is not as expected. Very little portions and they open at 8am. Most tours start at 8am so the expection is, be ready to go and not start eating. You can refill water here anytime. Room: the room we got was big (exec 1). The mattresses were very comfy. The curtains did not cover the area that it was supposed to cover. There were windows on top of the windows that let all the light in even during the night. Beach: the beach was fine but there were a lot of sea urchins just around. These can't easily be seen unless it is low tide. A lot of hermit crabs and "kunos" can be seen especially in the morning. Overall, not really the best place to stay at but if you love to simply relax, then this is the place to be.

Where is the negative star rating?

Posted 2 Mar 2017 on Orbitz
Pros: There is nothing to like here.
Cons: Everything!!!!
Location: A trash filled beach
My full review on the social media exceeds characters on here. The room: From the moment you walk into this " Executive Suite #5 " you are left wondering what the meaning of a suite is. The floors in the room were peeling up, crack and in some areas all worn out. ( I have pictures to prove this ) The ceiling is all faded and with dangling electrical wires. ( I have proof of this aswell ) The mini fridge didnt work, nor did the TV. The outlets in the room were no functional with the exception of 1x. If you looked in the open closet area you will see screws pertruding into the room as if someone was crucified in there from the previous night. ( I have pictures of this aswell ) The odor of the room made you think this had happened just moments before arrival. The windows wouldnt close all the way so the outside noise, bugs, moisture and heat would just come right into your room. ( And this ) The curtains wouldnt give you much privacy from the room facing this room due to the simple fact the stained curtains would'nt cover the windows completely. ( This too ) The linens were not suitable for outside animals to even use because they were heavily soiled and damp. ( Yep and this ) The light switches would shock you if you turned them on or off and the strobing from lights would put you into an instant seizure. The bathroom was very tiny but they did have hot salty water for you to shower with just make sure to check for those nasty towels that werent left in the room.

My Memorable Sweet Escape

I had a wonderful stay at the resort. It's nice for beach view. It's understandable that the resort is under renovation but the owner is trying their best to extend best service. I will definitely be back if I am in the island.

Excellent stay for 5 days stay (dorm)

Posted 16 Jun 2016
Pros: Beach, swimming, ambiance, peaceful, sunset, snorkeling, diving, cleanliness
I mainly stayed in the dorm for the duration of my visit and overall it was a pleasant. The location is 5 minutes away from Siquijor pier by vehicle, 30 minutes if you're a walker like me. I generally enjoyed swimming by the front-beach and hanging out by the hammocks or working online in their restaurant. No hot showers but the water pressure is great and the cleanliness of the entire resort are in good condition. Both the staff and the owner of the establishment has been developing this resort for the last 4 months, and they are still improving the facilities -- I didn't hear any loud construction because they're very particular to their guests' experience. Watch out for Chef John, as he'll be able to help you pick the meal from their menu. He was happy to make the dish you choose according to your preference too.
