The room was comfortable and we had plenty of tea, coffee etc. Sadly the bathroom wasnt the cleanest and the bath water didnt empty very well. We werent given very much information about our stay. Breakfast was nice and the lady serving us was very attentive and heloful.

Upgraded to deluxe room on arrival, albeit in a modern part of the hotel.
Staff helpful and friendly.
Breakfast perfectly adequate if unexceptional.
Can't rate the restaurant as it was closed on the day we arrived (Mondays) and since we were the only booking on the next night, so not viable to open the kitchen for just two covers, we were asked to eat elsewhere.

This is classed as a 4 star hotel, and it met what I would expect from that. Comfortable, old property with the pros and cons that brings. A sherry on arrival is a pleasant thing out of the usual.
