Stayed in an oceanfront corner room on my recent trip, hotel and rooms are dated but clean and the staff was friendly and helpful.

Safe place to stay and the rooms are beautiful. The staff is very friendly and there is always someone at the front office (even if it’s closed) to assist with anything! The balconies are a nice asset to some rooms as well. No smoking on the property, even on the balconies which is understandable because you have neighboring balconies (just an fyi for those who smoke or vape). Definitely worth a stay!

It had a great ocean view and balcony, was very close to the beach , and the staff was very helpful . I would not think twice about returning to this motel. the bed was one of the most comfortably we have ever had at a motel

Very noisy . No instructions for heat or AC which was controlled by switch on wall . We were never told that’s what it was for and how to use it.

Drifting Sands was attractive and well situated close to the ocean and beach. The rooms are nicely furnished in a nautical theme. We requested a king bed with an ocean view but were given two double beds with a parking lot view. The manager was responsive and offered a small refund of our payment. Still, this inconvenience was disappointing.

Sorry for the confusion between what is listed on the Expedia site and what you reserved. If we were not at 100% capacity we would have upgraded you with no issues!
