"Classic Japanese ryokan experience. Most outstanding Japanese breakfast ever!!! Succulent mackerel. Heavenly rice. And the most delicious homemade miso soup with fresh mushrooms and daikon. Perfect way to start a vacation on our first day. "
"We chose this hotel as it was near the park. The staff were efficient and very helpful. They have us tea and sweets on arrival before showing us to our room. The western style twin beds were clean and comfortable apart from the normal Japanese hard pillows. The legless chairs with cushions were set on a tatami platform and it overlooked a residential area & trees. The shower room was clean and well appointed. "This is the Sotetsu Inn you should choose when visiting Kumamoto. Note that it is bigger than the typical Sotetsu inns in the Tokyo area so you get a more spacious quiet and comfortable room. Location is perfect as you are right next to the shopping arcade. "
"Convenient location, just 3 mins walk to the shopping street with many restaurants options. The tatami room is very nice! Parking is not quite friendly as it doesn’t allow to drive out once we parked, so please take this into consideration when you book this. "
APA Hotel Kumamoto Sakuramachi Bus terminal Minami
10/10 Excellent
"There are many charging port, which is very convenient. There is a public onsen to soak off the day. Provided the yukata as well. Security seems good, as only guests with access card can take the elevator. A short walk (10min) from shopping area.
Parking is a distance away with a partnering carpark at 1200yen for a day (2pm to 12pm next day). There are parking nearby for shorter parking durations.
All in all, very nice hotel. Will book rooms from this hotel chain in my next Japan trip.
