No pool was broke had to get own coffee for rooms trash not taken out oer day .had aweeks stay

We enjoyed our stay at Shell Lake. The staff was very friendly. The room was clean and spacious.
The pool was closed for repairs.

Showed up and the room that i booked was not what booked, pool was closed. Absolutely a ginormous pile of crap. The pool has been closed for months. I booked 2 queen beds to accommodate our group, they gave us a king with a sofa. When trying to get it resolved, they said they didn't have any other rooms, when speaking to the owner he said we could have 2 rooms in his dump in hayward or we can go somewhere else. We went to the best western in spooner and it was great. The amirivu is an absolute joke.

There os a new owner who is very hands on, he was very kind and is working hard to upgrade and fix things that may not be up to date. His staff were very friendly and willing to help . This will be a wonderful property soon and we will go back.

Posted 27 Feb 2024 on HotelsNot terrible, but not good either. Tired flat pillows, bed sheets smelled a little old, almost no options in continental breakfast for those that cannot eat wheat, flat coffee ran out quickly, and the smoke detector in our room was removed.
