pleasant hotel, with helpful staff, within 10 minute walking distance to major mall - close to a train station, so can get noisy if windows opened

Posted 28 Jul 2019 on HotelsI was in Shanghai for business and had a fantastic stay at the Irene Boutique Hotel. The rooms are clean and well kept, the beds are comfortable, the showers have good water pressure and the rooms are air conditioned. The hotel offers a tasty breakfast every morning and the front desk is able to accommodate foreign travelers. Excellent location near all types of shops, restaurants and the subway. I'll definitely be back my next trip.

Great Location, friendly staff!
Posted 27 May 2019 on HotelsThe staff was very friendly and nice with helping you find things in the area. The beds are a little hard, and the rooms are a bit small, but we didn't spend much time in there so it was perfect for us. The hotel is located just 1 block from the metro and perfect for touring the city. There are several good places to eat, shop, and get coffee right next to the hotel. The hotel room had air conditioning, and a nice spacious bathroom. We did the family room for my husband and brother as we were visiting family in the city. I recommend bringing a pad of your own (like a camping pad) if you are worried about beds being hard in China, as many of them were. This hotel had down comforters and overall a lovely experience. The staff was amazing, we only ate the breakfast 1 day and it was noodles, rice pudding, cabbage, and breads. Not too bad.

Clean basic hotel
Posted 15 Apr 2019 on HotelsClean basic hotel in suburb conveniently close to shopping mall with carrefour supermarket. Basic chinese breakfast with no fruit and artificial "orange" juice. Very helpful staff.
