"Staff were super polite, friendly and helpful. The reception area was immaculate. Smelt amazing and gave that truly wonderful first impression. The room was spacious. Great views. High end bathroom products. Tea and coffee options in the room. The hotel also offered a free laundry which was really well used during our stay. All guests seem to make use of this. "

"This is a very attractive hotel in a convenient location. I spent a little extra for a room with a view and it was completely worth it! From my corner room on an upper floor I could see from the harbor to the hills. My friend had a more basic room with not much view but still nice. The rooms are beautifully designed with sliding doors, automatic shades, rain shower, and nice built-ins. My only complaint is the lack of outlets by beds. The staff were helpful on several fronts. "The overall experience is great! The cleanliness of the hotel room is guaranteed as Dorsett Kai Tak was opened in Aug 2024. I like the infinity pool the most as you can enjoy the sunset view. The only disadvantage is that the hotel should improve the quality of the breakfast."

"This is a great little gem, well located on Hong Kong island and an easy transit from Hong Kong airport. We were there for a 12hr layover and found it very convenient from the airport (30min fast airport train and then one small 10min train). The staff were friendly and check-in was incredibly efficient. The room was small but tidy, with a modern fitting."

"Reasonable standard hotel room with no features that stand out in particular.
Bathroom has been nicely renovated but the room furniture needs an update.
During our stay our roof leaked into the closet, staining and making all our clothes wet. Room 1012.
Best feature of the hotel is the public food court located on the basement level with a large variety of interesting choices."

"Best hotel in Hong Kong. Despite the location since I uber everywhere I didn’t mind. Their service and attention to detail of every staff was amazing. How they bring the utensils to you and how house keeping is trained really made me want to stay only at the Murray. Most hotels in this price range indeed have above average service but Murray does it better. I have zero complaints. Rooms are spacious and sleek almost like Armani hotels. Worth giving up the harbor view."

"A21 bus takes you almost to the door of the hotel. Very modern western artsy vibe hotel with all front staff speaking English. Very accommodating when we arrived around 1100hrs and told we could have our room by midday.
Our room was the Cabin Studio which I DON'T recommend. On paper it should give the illusion of more room since the toilet & shower are seperate stalls. However, as soon as you finish any of your business you either walk straight out the shower wet into the bedroom or wash your hands in the bedroom which was felt intrusive.
Limited surface areas and essentially only one storage space made the place feel much smaller than necessary and with our belongings very cluttered.
That was more of a "me" problem to be honest. Air Con was nice and strong as well as the shower. Housekeeping was courteous. Almost every night there was a DJ in the bar area which from almost any floor by the lift lobby you could clearly hear. However were our room was situated (722) we couldn't hear a thing. Just something to be aware of.
The bottom sub-level had it own buffet 7 station choices, however we found the price to be a bit steep per person. Just above that sub-level was another level with a number of independent vendors of a mix of chinese/vietnamese/japanese/Burgers and even pizza cuisine at a much more reasonable price (open from 11-2200hrs) all accepting Visa/Mastercard/Octopus/AlipayHK/WechatPayHK/*PayMe/*KPay (*not all vendors).

"The hotel offers a value alternative to the other chain hotels in Hong Kong. The location is not the most convenient for shopping or nice restaurants, but taxis are always available. The harbor view rooms have been recently redone vs the city view rooms which are showing their age. Also the city view room had a damp AC smell. The hotel restaurant had a nice breakfast and dinner buffets plus an a la cart menu.
The major issue I had was when booking a reservation online I accidentally entered the wrong date and clicked confirmed before realizing it. I canceled the reservation and rebooked for the correct dates. After my arrival and speaking with hotel management they refused to refund my $500 USD for the wrong dates!!! I will not be staying at this hotel again."
"Breakfast was a buffet and was fine. However we had to queue two days in a row on the weekend to be seated and ended up being taken to an overflow area with limited buffet options. Not acceptable in a 5 star hotel at the price we were paying per night!"
