Very enjoyable stay in this modern apartment
Posted 22 Aug 2018We had a lovely stay at Les Terrasses Du Grand. The apartment was perfect for our family of 4. Good quality beds (double room and sofa bed in the open plan living room) with air conditioning. Modern wet room style bathroom with good quality shower and the kitchen was very well equipped to be able to cook. The swimming pool was very clean and good temperature with good quality sun loungers around it. The owner was very friendly and welcoming. There is car parking for the hotel at the rear although it could be better signed upon arrival. There is no reception at the apartments which we didn't realise so you need to contact them to arrange check in (our fault for not reading the booking carefully). It is next to a row of nice food shops including butchers and bakers and a bar/cafe. Only a short walk to the beach and a short drive to other beaches nearby. No ATM in the village so come with Euros!

Posted 29 May 2018 on HotelsA very nice apartment which is modern & scrupulously clean. The bed & bedding was good quality & really comfortable. The swimming pool was excellent,heated & great furniture to sunbathe on! A secure parking area with gate code.The beach is only a few minutes walk, & the Spar supermarket & little port about 3 mins drive. The proprietor was friendly & helpful (the reception desk isn't normally manned but help is to hand via phone if necessary) & we had a super welcome gift. Please note you will need your own pool/beach towels as only 1 bath & 1 hand towel each supplied, these aren't changed during the stay, nor the tea towel. There is an error on the Hotels.Com description saying "daily housekeeping" - this is not the case. The kitchen provides hob, oven, microwave & dishwasher, all clean & modern. A lid for the saucepans would have been useful :-) Although the front of the block looks out to sea, the ground floor apartments don't have so much view due to the hedge, so it would be good to be able to specify an upstairs apartment, to appreciate the fine bay. We enjoyed our stay in Les Terrasses du Grand Large, and Corsica is the MOST stunning island!

Posted 20 Oct 2017 on HomeAwayAvons été impressionné dès que nous sommes arrivés, construction récente et décoration moderne. Grand balcon ou nous avons pris nos repas, piscine avec luminothérapie! François et sa mère sont très accueillant. Charmant village avec plusieurs restaurant et prêt de belles plages.

Hotel very quiet.
Posted 2 Jun 2017The whole area of Porto Pollo was very quiet. Next to the hotel is a row of several good quality shops selling fresh bread,, meat, veg etc. A very nice bar also serving food, open all day and evening. Very nice readonably priced wine. There is a reception desk at the hotel but only assistance for a couple of hours some days. Owner and son are very helpful. Nice smsll swimming pool. 10 minute walk to porto pollo port. Many nice restsursnts along the way. Good to have a car but we managed without. One minibus a day to Ajeccio and one return. One hour drive bumpy and bendy. All enjiyable.

Excellent Accomodation
Posted 13 Jun 2016Stayed for 1 week. Location was excellent for visiting Corsica. Beaches were brilliant and very close by! Local bakery and shop only 30 seconds down the road and great choice of local restaurants. Staff/owners were very welcoming and took great pride in showing all the facilities available and had many recommendations on places to visit and eat. Would certainly stay again!

Posted 25 May 2016We liked the hotel and Porto Pollo, the town. It would be wise for the directions to say the name of the town rather than another town five miles away, especially since the directions do not include a street address. Amiable owner-host, but, more than a third of a roll of toilet paper and an ounce of dish soap and a dirty sponge for dish washing should have been provided. Also, we are English speaking. Most travelers have a reasonable knowledge of English. It doesn't make sense to have only French speaking TV stations especially when a third of the programming is in English originally from english speaking countries.The TV was worthless to us.

Très belle situation et très belle résidence

L’appartement est top : moderne,déco soignée , équipements,terrasse,piscine parking propreté. Les propriétaires sont charmants et très accueillants. Nous reviendrons dans cet établissement sans hésitation.

Belle adresse, à proximité des commerces, d’une plage et d’un départ de rando pour une plage magnifique. Excellent accueil par François qui a veillé à notre bien être toute la semaine. De bons conseils et très disponible. Appartement propre, cuisine bien équipée, literie de qualité. Merci pour cette belle semaine et très bientôt !
