Clean, fresh, good bathroom, very convenient for a one night stay mid journey.
I would have preferred a permanent presence on reception.

This hotel was in the perfect location and we found great restaurants right near by, as it was Monday and all restaurants are closed in Seltz!

Booked rooms not available first night. Expedia’s fault, not the hotels.

Bonjour ,monsieur nous vous avons prouvé que nous n' avons pas reçu de réservation vous concernant nous ne pouvons pas en être tenu comme responsable ,votre réservation est arrivé avec un jour de retard nous avons les documents qui le prouve , ce n 'est pas a moi de m ' excuser notre hôtel affichait malheureusement déjà complet a cette date

Posted 17 Sep 2018 on HotelsGreat, we arrived and asked if there was anywhere local to eat and we were given diirections about a 10 min walk away, however the eaterie was closed for the evening, so we headed back to the hotel, when we explained the situation a very tasty meal was prepared for us even though no meals should have been supplied in evening time ... Fab !!

Location: Some Maginot Line fortifications are close by for history buffs.
We started off a bit on the wrong foot when checking in, but it was our fault - partly due to the language barrier (my French is not very good), and simply not knowing the layout of the hotel. Once we got past that, we had a wonderful stay! Our room was clean and comfortable, and the bed was very nice. The breakfasts were terrific! Madame Marie-Helene (the innkeeper) made us little breakfast sandwiches each morning of toasted half-croissant topped with ham, cheese, and a fried egg! (a breakfast croque madame, if you will). This was in addition to the cold cuts, smoked trout, various baked items, juices, and as much coffee/tea as you wanted.
When we checked out, Madame Marie gifted us with a nice bottle of Alsatian wine as an apology for the mix-up at check in, even though it was our fault!
For those seeking an extended-stay place, they have some suites on the 2nd floor (3rd floor in US) with kitchenette facilities.
We would not hesitate to stay here again.
