Overall decent and convenient. Somehow they gave us a room with showerstall for elderly people and the curtain was too short so we had to ask for a curtain replacement. Would be nice to have complimentary breakfast. Elevator is a bit small.

Overall good for the price I paid. AC/heat system needs a major update (still has a turn dial thermostat). Lobby area and staff were great. Hair dryer didn't work. Room was pretty clean, just needs an update.

Cops everywhere last night. Going from room to room, smelled like somebody was smoking some kind of drug, people being tased and arrested.

(I stayed here for two nights that were booked separately, so was asked to review each stay separately. The reviews are nearly identical.) What sounded like at least two children in the room next to mine sprinted across the floor and slammed into furniture until after 23:00 on my second night. My request to change rooms because of their behavior was ignored, and the employee who visited the room the noise was coming from, in which no parent or guardian seemed to be present, simply told them to be quiet. The way he asked, “Is your mom here?” as if certain the father wouldn’t be, gave me the impression he was familiar with them and that they might belong to the cleaning staff, as I’ve heard of hotels allowing these situations to exist. When I brought the broken thermostat — missing its faceplate and heat wouldn’t turn on — to the attention of the man staffing the front desk, he said the heat wasn't on, anyway. The building was so over-air conditioned in late May that I slept in wool socks. Cleaning staff blasting Spanish-language programming loitered outside of my door in the early morning and failed to replenish coffee as requested. Some of the front-desk staff didn’t speak English as a first language. My only positive feedback is that I was given a suite instead of the room with king-sized bed that I’d reserved. The room adjoined another, so the door linking them was a source of anxiety.
