Tranquility Bay used to be a showplace. It has the prettiest view imaginable but suffers from a lack of TLC. Weeds now overgrow the garden. Bushes have dead branches hanging off. The sitting areas are covered in debris from the trees and haven’t been cleaned to be ready for guests. The bathtub had hair in it, shower exterior appeared to be damaged or moldy, and shampoo dispenser has such old shampoo the ingredients are starting to separate. I came here 20 years ago with my parents and sister and returned with my husband and children, after sharing my memories of it. It’s no longer a B and B and more’s the pity as there is no nearby food option or kitchen in the room (though the owner has been kind to supply a couple of bowls, plates, glasses, and cutlery and you have a small fridge and microwave in the downstairs suite). Though my husband called in advance of our booking to ensure kids were okay on property, the owner seemed surprised about it when we arrived. That was uncomfortable. And there’s only a very small, hard futon for kids to use. (Ouch!) There are also no double kayaks, which had been a huge draw in going there as the water is incredible (giant starfish, seals, and sea cucumbers!) So you have to go down the road and rent them at an added cost. If you’re downstairs, the main issue is that it’s very hard to sleep as you hear everything happening upstairs. No question- it was once a jewel and could be again, but needs some attention to nearly every aspect.

The only issue was the weather related power outage which did not really allow us to use any of amenities. I am confident it would've been much more fun if we had electricity given the set up/provided amenities. I am not sure if a back up generator is standard/required or not but that was the only issue.

Fantastic location. The use of the canoe was a highlight for us. Epic views and very quiet. Will book again here for sure!

An amazing property to come to and relax. Very tranquil just as the name suggest. Lovely BBQ facility if you choose to make your own dinner.

The yard is wonderful. The dock area, all the different waterfront seating areas, the pool table! We had a very relaxing weekend. Exactly what we were looking for.

A place for relaxation. I wished I had a week off to stay longer. It is like being in a semi private resort. In addition there were water sports equipments (Kayaks etc) for customers's use for free. We definitely enjoyed that also. I would definitely not consider other places to stay if I decided to visit the island again. Just make sure you arrange your food and drinks before going there. No restaurants or Cafe's close by, Hardly any would deliver, and there is no working kitchen.

This property is in an amazing spot. Excellent access to provided paddleboards, kayaks and canoes. View was stunning and bay was calm for watersports. Plentiful patios to enjoy the view although you have to watch for the falling sap from the trees. Patio furniture could use a dust-off and some cushions were coming apart. Suite was well stocked but could use some maintenance (damaged pool cues, sagging furniture, too soft bed, poor quality hand soap) and no air conditioning, although our suite was in the basement so wasn't too bad. Can't beat the location though!

Tranquility lodge is lovely and quiet. The suite was exactly as advertised and very comfortable and the use of paddle boards etc a bonus. The location itself is very remote (we came by floatplane from vancouver), so getting there without transport requires a taxi (~$35 each way) and come prepared to self cater for the trip as there is nothing within walk distance. A few restaurants do deliver to the property which was a bonus. Amazing location if you want to fully disconnect and relax. Would recommend
