This place is SUPER cute and lovely! It's close to town and the beach and very memorable. The only issue we had is that the oven in our camper ended up not working and it made it difficult for us to cook all of the food that we had planned to make! BUT the staff was really helpful and they gave us a gift certificate for a future nights stay. We ended up have. a great time and would definitely recommend this spot! Will be visiting again :)

Never want to leave

Fantastic location, camping vibe with very unique accomadations, easy walk to the beach and the greeting of the Pacific at the end was powerful.

It is truly vintage with very old appliances, pull string light fixtures, leaky faucet, dark stairwell, no shampoo or hair dryer, and uncomfortable furniture. The trailers are incredibly old.

Honeymoon at the Sou'wester.

Posted 25 Aug 2020 on Hotels
Overall, we are very glad we stayed here a couple days as part of a longer honeymoon. The place has a bohemian feel to it, which is great. We loved the unique amenities, such as the tea trailer, and the location near Seaview beach and highway 101 turnoff is perfect. It is a bit shabbier than the photos on their site suggest, and we did have to wait for staff to show up at the front desk as often as not. I would recommend this for a young couple, with or without children, especially with an interest in things vintage. There will be less surprises for people who already know what it's like with staying in a trailer. For folks who are used to hotel amenities and not the sometimes cramped feel of a trailer, and for those who crave privacy (trailers are close together, not soundproof, without a curtain on every single window, and and lots of kids running around) this may not be ideal.

quirky relaxed setting

Quirky older accommodations. Clean but not always in best working order so flexibility is key to your stay. Would definitely stay again. Easy walk to beach!

Vintage Trailer Stay

Very rustic private like your camping but don’t have to haul the trailer. Very close to the beach.

e liked it!

We enjoyed our stay in of the trailers at the Southwester. It was small but had everything we needed. It had a newer heater that warmed up the place quickly and it was clean. There was even a bottle of sanitizer. We never knew of this place before but when we go back to the area, we intend to stay there again.
