Happy with everything offered from check in to check out, made perfect by the glorious weather. A room only stay in an excellent location. Car parking in close by council car park, permit provided. Plenty of places to eat and excellent cafes on beach that open early for breakfast. There is a bit of noise from gulls/crows first thing but then it is seaside ! Lovely countryside as well. Earplugs provided if you aren't a nature lover or very light sleeper. Had a great weekend.

The four star rating for this property is highly deceptive. There are basically no amenities on the site except for a 10 s.f. lobby. There is no lift, just steep stairs. The reference to beach bar and terrace is very misleading. The photos suggest immediate proximity to the beach but the property abuts roads and a car park and has no view of anything to speak of. The bathroom is tiny and uncomfortable. No Kleenex are provided.

Given your comments, we believe that you may have us confused with the Belmont Hotel in nearby Sidmouth. This is indeed a four star Hotel with all the amenities that you would expect from a Hotel including a lift. Our web description clearly states that we are a Village Guest House and to assist clients in their selection process we include all room dimensions with numerous photos, as we completely understand that the quirkiness of our property whilst loved by many, is not for everyone. We are Belmont House , Beer. Adult Only, Free Parking and Sorry , but No Pets.

Apparently I was in the smallest room, but it was very cosy and it had everything I needed👍
