Nice hotel, friendly staff
My only complain was that there was a terrible bad smell coming from the drainage of the shower.

Nice clean remote Hotel
Posted 12 Jul 2017Hotel was great, got a brand-new room. It's proximity to the lake was great. Only thing they could improve is to widen the range of room service menue as it was a bit too small. Other than that, great hotel.

Unique Scenery
Posted 2 May 2016
Pros: Scenery and location
Cons: Housekeeping, economizing on water and breakfast
Location: Wendelstein cable car, Schliersee and Thiersee scenic areas
Hotel is beautifully located. However, housekeeping was hit and miss, with soap and other essentials not being replaced. Most annoying was the extremely low water pressure for our shower. Barely more than a trickle at any time of the day and not in line with our previous stays. Breakfast selection still ok, but much reduced from our prior stays also.

Hospitable and helpful
Posted 6 Aug 2015 on HotelsWe made booking the previous evening via hotels.com but the hotel had not received it when we arrived (they had to call in to hotels.com and found it the next day). Despite this not being the hotel's fault, they were very welcoming and found a room for us even though it was clear they were pretty full. The location is stunning. Great breakfast. Really pleasant stay.

A beautiful gem
Posted 5 Jan 2014 on HotelsWe happened upon this place due to over bookings in the area. Great things happen to those who wait. What a beautiful gem we found. Basically an all inclusive with breakfast, dinners and a wonderful spa experience all on-site. Very conveniently located to many of the towns we wanted to visit. We would return and stay put in their small, quaint town. A wonderful holiday trip!

Peaceful retreat in beautiful setting
Posted 9 Aug 2013 on HotelsHotel is modest but clean and beautifully situated on the lake. There's a private lakefront area for hotel guests, and it seemed as though some items were available to borrow (i.e. inflatable rafts, umbrellas, chairs, etc) but no one staffing the area and unclear how to procure them. Hotel has very limited parking - had to park in a public lot nearby and walk. Service was friendly but not exceptional. Room lacked bathtub and central air (probably not necessary for most of the year, but we had a heat wave, so it mattered). Breakfast was awesome and included with the room... outdoor dining area with lake views was exceptional.

Pros: The mountain and lake views
Cons: Nothing really
Location: 4000 feet above sea level in the Bavarian alps on the shores of a beautiful lake.
The hotel is in a fantastic location on the edge of Spitsingsee. The views are stunning and there is good sking very close to the hotel. Excellent spa facilities. Good food and service in the restaurants.

Not really a Sheraton....
Posted 9 Oct 2011 on HotelsBreakfast was fine and the room was spacy but had no air condition and WiFi did not work. On the other hand they did succeed to turn off the towel heater which made thinks even worse. Amenities were scarce and we had to ask specifically to clean the room. This is definetly not a 4 star hotel and far below Sheraton standard. I would not come back again.
