Pleasantly surprised old hotel creaky floorboards but rooms clean as was public areas nice breakfast good entertainment most nights staff very helpful and friendly lovely garden will go again

Nice hotel and friendly staff. The room furnishings were old and dated. Excellent location with great sights and shopping, and all walkable.

The bedroom was comfortable and clean with a good shower and lovely towels. A nicely furnished dining area and a convenient bar were welcome additions. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice.Staff were friendly, polite and efficient.
We enjoyed our stay.

Fantastic Location with Room for Improvement
Overall, my experience was positive. The hotel boasts an excellent location, conveniently close to the funicular for Scarborough Spa, making it easy to explore the area.
The room was perfectly clean, which is always a priority for me when choosing accommodation. However, there were noticeable signs of wear and tear throughout the hotel, which could use some attention to maintain its overall appeal.
One of the highlights of my stay was the breakfast provided. It was hearty and satisfying, setting a good tone for the day ahead. Additionally, having on-site parking was convenient, although it operates on a first-come, first-served basis, which might pose a challenge during peak times.
Despite the minor drawbacks, I would consider staying again in the future due to its unbeatable location and the overall positive experience during our stay
