Close to the station
Posted 3 Jul 2019 on HotelsSmall hotel on a relatively busy corner. Conveniently near Saumur train station. No elevator. Nice lady runs the place, which has limited reception hours. Alcyon is the name of a vintage bike. Bikers are particularly welcome at this hotel with a special storage room for bikes. Breakfast was typical French style.

Everything I could have wanted
Posted 18 Aug 2018 on HotelsThis is a fantastic hotel for visiting Saumur, and indeed the local area if you're travelling by car as the secure car park is superb. The receptionist was incredibly welcoming and spoke very good English. My room was clean and comfortable with tea/coffee facilities provided. It's worth noting that there is no lift so if you're less mobile it's worth asking for a room on a lower floor. It's a 5-10 min walk into the centre of town from the hotel (over the Loire, so it's really quite pretty), and there was a consistent progression of tourists going to their hotels when I walked back so it felt like a very safe environment.

Very welcoming hotel

Pros: Bed and bathroom
Cons: Very warm room at night and no aircon
Location: Beautiful town on shores of the Loire
Lovely hotel in beautiful town but it needs aircon. But the welcome and help was really good plus the car park is very secure.

Impeccable
Posted 30 Oct 2021 on HotelsTrés satisfait : voiture de location dans la cour, grande gentillesse de l'hôtesse, hôtel nickel, petit déjeuner complet (pour mes attentes), une adresse à retenir, en plus pas trés loin à pied de la gare. Dommage que je n'ai pas pu réserver pour mes autres jours pros, l'hôtel étant complet.
