"Bery clean room. Loved the all touches - keyless door entry, no telephones in room. Communication using whatsapp. Efficient and well thought out. Location was superb. Concierge service was spme of the best we have experoenced. Booking our next stay there in the next couple of months."

"The rooms were clean but that's it. The toilet would not stop running, the shower head squirted water from its top. The knob to turn on the shower was not attached. The spigot was rigged to not be turned far enough to attain hot water. The stove in the family suite was turned off. There was only one accessible electrical outlet in each room. I ordered filet mignon from the restaurant and, after a loooong delay, they served me flank steak disguised in chocolate syrup. The original dish promised a hint of chocolate. My inferior meat was swimming in Hershey's chocolate sauce. Now, HERE'S THE WORST OF IT: I spent five nights without a decent sleep because of live music blasting until after 2:30am. Every night. It seemed to be coming from inside and outside at once. That's because it was. Loud music from the rooftop restaurant permeated the air outside *and* through the interior court. On our last night (when I was served flank steak in Hershey's chocolate) I discovered giant speakers were pointing directly at the interior court opening. The noise we thought was coming from the neighborhood was actually being generated AT THE HOTEL. My fellow traveler was charged a laundry fee because there was hair cream on her pillow. As we have used such products on our hair all our lives, we know for a certaintly that it washes out with regular laundry cleaning. There are too many black people in Cartagena for hotel staff not to have encountered this. That fee seemed like it was a "black tax.""

"The location of his hotel is convenient, especially if you’re going to do a boat ride. It is near many clubs/bars/rooftops, so if you’re looking for something quiet this may not be the place for you. We got lucky with a lower level room facing the square, so the sound was not as intense for us. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast option is totally worth it, I liked the rotating local food options. Rooms are generally clean and housekeeping was great. There is wear and tear, mostly in the bathroom. The whole floor got soaked after every shower because the door had a gap under it and the water drained slowly. Noticed some mildew in the bathroom as well, but hard when you’re in such a humid place. AC in the room was great and provided a place to cool off and relax after walking around in the heat. Rooftop pool was awesome. Overall happy with our stay."

"Wasn't so bad, nearby the old city, some nice restaurants around, some shopping stores, breakfast was excellent, people was nice, only think you hear the people talking outside on the street, stay there two nights.. "

"We had a great stay at Mood Matuna. Having a hotel in such a central location was so useful. We were able to easily walk to the old town and Getsemani also. The room with the private pool was a god choice as it was so hot and nice to cool off after a walk around. The area around the hotel did have some people sleeping on the streets but no one bothered us in fact the people in general were really helpful and friendly including the staff at the hotel. The room was cleaned thoroughly each day and clean towels left when we needed them. Overall a great four nights in a central location."

The staff was extremely kind, welcoming, and always willing to help with recommendations and anything I needed during my stay. The property itself has a beautiful atmosphere and great location, making it easy to enjoy the city while also feeling relaxed and safe. I truly appreciated the hospitality, especially since I stayed here to celebrate my birthday. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and I would definitely stay here again."
