Close to Old Town
Posted 21 Nov 2022 on HotelsNice hotel very close to the old town area. We felt safe walking back and forth even at night. The breakfast was very nice. Cute hotel.

Overnight stop
Posted 17 Jul 2019 on HotelsLovely hotel within easy walking distance of the very pretty village. The hotel has a Spa (18€ extra charge) and an out door pool We had dinner at the hotel which was good. Breakfast was pretty standard. We only had one night here before catching the ferry from Santander, which was an easy 30 minute drive away.

Highly Recommended
Posted 23 Jun 2019 on HotelsHave now stayed at this lovely hotel 3 times which says it all. Such interesting decor including the vintage bikes and immaculately tended gardens. Free gym and outside pool though charge made for spa pool.
Friendly obliging staff, enough English spoken to get by. Dinner is especially good value as it includes a very acceptable bottle of San Marcos red and a litre of water. Menu maybe a bit repetitive but nobody will leave the dining room hungry! Breakfast selection also excellent and varied. Brilliant new coffee machine.
Rooms of a good size, very clean and beds comfortable. Plenty of parking spaces.
Within a short stroll of the village centre - wear comfortable shoes as streets are cobbled. The church with its large tableau in the cloisters is well worth the €3 entrance fee.
Incidentally it took us all of 23 minutes to drive to the port at Santander so a perfect choice after arrival or before departure on the ferry.
Finally it is superb value for money.

Great motorcycle touring hotel base.
Posted 3 Aug 2018 on HotelsFantastic hotel ideally located and just a few minutes’ walk to bars and restaurants in Santillana del Mar. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The rooms are large and even with no air-con are not over warm. Breakfast is good and plentiful. The owner is into classic cars and motorcycles. Car parking is charged but if you’re on a motorcycle as we were then you get to park in the underground secure car park for free.l

Spa and Foodie Trip
Posted 29 May 2018 on HotelsI've stayed twice now, and the hotel has improved. The Spa has an adfitio al 2 d outdoor pool and ja uzzi, very modern and tre dy! Also a small gym. The rooms are fine, lovely bayhrooms, but slightly average accommodation. Breakfast is VERY high carb, and real, fresh juice would ha e been nice rather than ehat is on offer.
Bar needs dome variety, maybe a cocktail list could be added?
Otherwise, all very nice.

Quant and Quirky
Posted 30 Apr 2018 on HotelsThis was a very comfortable hotel within walking distance of Santillana old town which is a very quaint medieval city. We used it as a base to explore other attractions including the ancient cave sights, the Gaudi house at Cosillanos and the Peaks of Europe. The hotel is quirky with old motorbikes on display. The rooms are big with separate bathrooms and entranceways..
