The location was great. Most of the staff was great except for the hotel management. When we got our room I noticed that there was only one regular coffee pod and both my wife and I drink coffee in the morning. I went to the reception and requested a second regular coffee pod and they informed me that each room only got one even though there may be two people in the room. They refused to give me another coffee pod. We ended up buying Nescafe so that we both could have a coffee in the morning. This is the first hotel that this has happened to me.

The sheer atmosphere of the Parador is truly amazing: the corridors filled with furniture, the vaulted central crossing, the grand staircase. It feels as if you’ve gone through a portal to the past. The breakfast offerings are extensive. We had lunch at Dos Reis, which in an equally remarkable setting with the barrel vaulted ceiling. It was a very big nice meal. The Parador is in the most ideal location. To walk out the door into the main square is magical.
