Excellent stay

Although check in seemed a little confusing at first - You just need to go to the first floor and knock one of the two doors that open to reception eventually. After that it was quite easy to check in. The place was very clean it was reasonably priced and the people they were very friendly. There was a salon where you could make tea / coffee heat up meals in the microwave if you wish and a a table to sit at with cutlery plates et cetera provided.

Overnight stay to catch Santander ferry

Very very expensive €80 for a small double bed for 1 night. No air con and it was 30* all day so the room was way too hot all night to sleep. Neon signs outside window lighting up room, really noisy main road outside and uncomfortable bed. The room was very small too. We felt totally ripped off.

Hola Richard, respecto al ruido de la calle, igual no os disteis cuenta, pero la habitación tiene doble ventana, que si se cierran no se oye absolutamente nada del exterior, al igual que las luces de la calle, además de poder cerrar con la persiana también teníais una cortina opaca que hace que no entre nada de luz exterior. No se si os fijaríais también en el techo, pero hay un ventilador que si se enciende es muy agradable cuando hace calor. Sobre el precio de la habitación, no se si os daríais cuenta de las fechas en las que os alojasteis tampoco, pero en verano es mas caro que en invierno y encontrar una habitación doble por 80 en Santander en pleno verano y renovada, no suele ser nada fácil.

Great gem of a hostal

One of the best I've stayed in anywhere!fantastic room!bit noisy!with busy street outside!but no problem for me!coffee nepresso in room!plus small kitchen on landing!Great shoer !always hot!staff again excellent and extremely efficient!especially nicky!!top lady!plus other lady who i didn't hear her name!Thanks for a fantastic 5days!highly recommended!

A basic hotel room. A view of the port. Very noisy with the window open. Useful kitchen for guests to use. Microwave and coffee maker.
