This motel is right on the beach. The property is well maintained, clean and convenient to all that is on Sanibel Island. We have visited Sunset Beach off and on for about 25 years, ans it is consistently excellent for anyone wanting a quiet time at one of the best beaches in the USA. . . especially if you love shelling!

Reserved a king bed. We were given a room with 2 queens after complaining we were given a king. There was NO internet service during our stay. First told that lightening had hit the antenna then a bird flew into the receiver... At checkout the staff could NOT print a receipt nor even tell me the total charge. 3 days later still no receipt in our e-mail. That being said we had an enjoyable stay. Short walk to the beach. Enjoyed the pool. Would have appreciated more information about things to do on the island.

Perfect location
Posted 24 Aug 2022 on HotelsBeautiful location with private beach and pool. Staff was welcoming and friendly. Our room had ocean view and could see the sunrise and the beach was perfect for sunsets and shelling. Rooms could use some updating and room renovations were underway. Overall, comfortable and clean.
Daily free breakfasts had a variety of options to choose from including non- dairy milks and healthier options.

Had lots of sports available on property. Small size of hotel made it more personal. Equipment in good shape and enough any time we had the urge. Short bike ride to Ding Darling preserve. Excellent staff.
