Wonderful and Romantic

Posted 29 Jan 2018
We had an amazing time staying at Hotel Sagrada. It's outside the city and a bit in the middle of nowhere, but once you are there, it is a nice escape with beautiful views. The two staff people there were amazing. Their "guard" dog became our best friend. Staff made us breakfast every morning, and dinner when we asked. They prepared a special sauna for us which was lovely. They even had masseuses come to the hotel when we requested. We would stay there again without hesitation. The cab fare to the city isn't that much (~$13-14). I hope this hotel stays open forever.

Peaceful, tranquil stay 20 min from center

Posted 20 Jun 2017 on Orbitz
Pros-We loved shane our host and the owner, The property is beautiful and tranquil perfect for someone looking for solitude and has the feel of a remote retreat experience. The hotel will provide breakfast for you at a cost as well as offers plenty of food and drink options. We got in late and Shane was nice enough to cook for us. Rooms are well appointed as it the man house of the hotel. Cons- our drivers got lost trying to find the place. Once you hit the dirt road there is no cell service so it is imperative that you have a printed map or a screen shot of directions. Its tough to get an uber to come pick you up and it takes some planning for a taxi to get there (about 20 min). The shower in the bathroom had very little pressure. Its pretty far out of town. It took about 20-30 minutes to get to the part of town that we needed to be in. All in all a great place to enjoy the nature side of Mexico. You could see so many stars and hear all the sounds of nature but probably not for someone that has pressing matters in the heart of San Miguel.

A refuge of peace to escape the city noise!

Posted 23 Apr 2017
Pros: I loved the privacy and comfort of its casitas built with that purpose in mind in different parts of the property to assure you plentiful rest.
Cons: If you want to explore and enjoy knowing its surroundings, I can assure you got plenty of days to get lost doing it.
Location: Its casonas and churches spoke to me of its centuries; I bought its fabrics and crafts as tokens to remember,,, but I never went away from San Miguel.
If you need a respite of your daily toil and want to escape the traffic's hanks and the noise of the city where you live ,,, this is the ideal refuge created for that escape. La Sagrada Beotique is a stay of repose and beauty sculpted by its numerous gardens, meandering your walks the cactus' organic forms among the shades of the jacaranda and mesquite trees. While during the day you can miss the view of the grand plateau that extends at your feet below, at night it shimmers with light some parts of the magical city of San Miguel de Allende. Your day starts with the morning serenade of sparrows, cardinals, finches and the doves' cucurrucús! If you decide to breakfast at the guests' house, the smile, courtesy and ready disposition of its owner Paul welcomes you each and every day you decide to occupy your comfortable abode. I've come to love the beautiful México, the one forged by its ancient history. the music and poetry that has inspired and the many treasures of its land yet to be discovered. Accompanied of course by its people cordiality has made of my visit a memorable stay, the kind that would stay in my memory forever.

A Peaceful and Beautiful Hotel

Posted 31 Oct 2016 on Orbitz
Pros: My room was spacious and beautifully appointed and had a private outdoor sitting area. The gardens and the views of the valley and distant mountains are beautiful. Shane is a warm and welcoming host who helped make my stay an incredible experience. Whether it was preparing the sauna, heating up the whirlpool, arranging for a massage, mixing up a great margarita, or taking me for a hike up to the cliffs behind the hotel- he graciously took care of everything. The morning breakfast (with local organic ingredients) is hearty and delicious.
Cons: I have no complaints. Wi-Fi did not reach my room, but I was happy to unplug and could easily connect to wi-fi in the main building where meals are served and which has a comfortable living room and big porch.
Location: The hotel is off-the-beaten path - perfect for a relaxing get-away. The hotel is on a quiet dirt road which is ideal for long walks with great views.

Pros y contras

Posted 30 Jul 2019 on Hotels
