Secluded, quiet, and near the SJO airport.
Do not take credit cards, but at the rates they have that's never an issue.

Communication was excellent from the very beginning. The arrival greeting was personable and informative. This family appears to be oriented around making sure guests are cared for.
Important note: I almost canceled because their listing shows a check-in at 4:30. It's actually 3:00.
This property is in a sweet and private gated neighborhood. I missed the not-so-obvious driveway (situated between two road front buildings) the first time but it's difficult to navigate and drive by yourself. Adriana met me out front. An appealing feature is the lack of stairs so it will be easy for anyone with mobility concerns or obnoxious bags.
The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The bathroom is a generous size with a great shower The a/c and fan both worked very well. I appreciate small things such as the long shelf great for laying out your stuff, the table with 2 chairs and the conveniently placed electric outlets. So happy not to have to crawl under furniture or behind the bed!
Being in the flight path, I was worried about possible noise but I was pleasantly surprised that their soundproofing does a good job inside the room. Plus, only a couple of planes passed over and nothing during the night. I also heard nothing from other rooms. I got a lovely night of sleep.
I usually spend the night before an early flight back to the States and will definitely stay here again. Leaving at appallingly early hours is easy and nobody gets disturbed.

This is a perfect property for travelers needing access to the San Jose Airport and many car rental companies. The property is gated, with street parking in front of the facility. The open kitchen allows guest access to use of fridge, microwave, coffee and water and eating area. Rooms are spacious, beds comfortable with spacious bathrooms. No AC but ceiling fan in room. Note that this is a CASH only facility which caught me by surprise. The host was also gracious to allow us to drop luggage early before the 3 pm check in.

An easy and comfortable stay, the owner was very personable and helpful. Much better value for our money than staying at the larger more expensive chain hotels near the airport.
