Hotel was great for the price! Felt very safe and comfortable. It wasn’t the cleanest hotel I’ve been to, though. There was a lot of hair in the bathroom.

You could generously call this a "historic building," but it's in a cool area. The things that lowers my rating are: * My bed had no bedspread - no quilt, duvet, nothing, despite the pics on the website. Just sheets. I requested one at the desk and they gave me a small blanket. Furthermore the bed had no fitted sheet, just another topsheet tucked around the mattress and over some kind of weird felt pad. It immediately came loose and made for a bad night of sleep. * The Internet was completely insufficient for any kind of work-related usage

a gem for the price

**for the price**, it is good. This is a very bare-bones hotel - no kettle, no fridge, no bar, no restaurant, no amenities. You can get hot water in the lobby, bring your own mug (only small plastic cups available), for example. But wifi was good, water hot, safe area, minimal (for downtown) noise, very-tall elegant ceilings, windows can open for fresh air (but no screens), bed was surprisingly comfy; hint: get a 2bed room to use the extra pillows and blanket.
