Panisté was a fantastic place to relax and enjoy the beauty of the area. The rooms were great, with really nice views of the mountains and hills nearby. It felt like we were far away from everything. The restaurant was really tasty as well, and they were very accommodating of my food intolerances (dairy). I highly recommend the temascal - a steam room Guatemalan style, where a wood fire heats rocks that you then put water on to create steam in a brick dome. We also wandered around the grounds, seeing all the gardens and coffee plants. The pool was also great - a little heated given the cool day we were there. It almost felt like we were the only people staying there - we saw more staff than guests, so enjoyed some truly peaceful days during our stay.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Boutique Y Restaurante Panisté. The rooms are big, spacious and clean. The balcony overlooking the garden was nice and beautiful. We really enjoyed and loved using the spacious sauna.

No screens on windows in cabins so be aware of mosquitos as they are everywhere and will keep you awake all night. Between the roof and ceiling you can hear noises like screeches/growls they may be rats or other animals. The property has beautiful gardens but unfortunately it seems administration did not check on rooms before they get reserved and did not acknowledge the situation. Administrator told us that they do not have screens on windows because people have different tolerances to mosquitos. No justification for this as this can detonate allergies or bring diseases. We did not received any compensation/discount or apology. We encourage administration to take into consideration this assessment as the hotel and place are beautiful. It just need commitment, understanding and empathy.

This hotel cancelled the reservation without prior notice upon arrival, documented by Expedia. No apology whatsoever and no help in getting allocated somewhere else. Hope this helps fellow tourists upon arrival ar this hotel. Not a reliable hotel.

La experiencia de este fin de semana en Alta Verapaz solo me termina de confirmar que vivimos en el pais de LA ETERNA PRIMAVERA, un hotel para disfrutar de la naturaleza y la buena cocina. Un lujo para estar cerca de otra maravillas naturales de Alta Verapaz. 100 % recomendable.
