Staff at the front desk were extremely kind and helpful. No parking close to hotel so be aware if you have a car.

The IMLAUER staff immediately made us feel at home. They willingly provided us with the information on things to do for our three days in Salzburg, and how to get around on foot or by public bus included in the City Card they were able to sell to us at the front desk. As Expedia users, we were given an upgrade to a queen size bed instead of the standard double. The Keller Cafe hosted us to perfect Austrian dinner at the end of a long day. And in the late evening we were able to watch the sunset and enjoy the night lights in the Sky Bar. The included breakfast was one of the best on our vacation particularly given it had an Omelet Bar with a variety of grilled choices. The hotel accommodated our very early morning departure by accepting our staying comfortably in its lounge area before our 3:30 a.m. departure for a 4:10 a.m. check in. Staying in the Sky Bar until 1 a.m. certainly helped the time fly by, which thankfully stayed open until then.

Not far at all from the Train station coming from Wien. Easily walkable, even with a little rain. Mirabellgarten is right nearby as well. As someone who walks frequently I was able to get to the Mozart locations, the River, the Fortress, St Peters, the Salzburg Philharmonic all by walking. Buses went by regularly and could of been an option. The room upgrade was highly appreciated and helped make this birthday trip that much more special. The breakfast was well assorted. The eggs one of the best had of any hotel, the bacon was perfectly crisp and the fruit fresh. If you're looking for the Orange juice or Apple it's there just in the Franz Josef bottles near the fruit. Due to time and other locations had to try didn't get to do the rooftop restaurant at night, but if the breakfast was a representative of what could of been, I'm sure wouldn't of been disappointed.

Charming, comfortable hotel with excellent staff and guest service. Close to sights, restaurants, and the train station. Warmly recommend this hotel to others and we will stay here again!

Beautifully rennovated hotel with preserved character. Location is perfectly suited to explore all areas of old town Salzburg.
We were pleasantly surprised to meet Mr.Imlauer himself,who was extremely hospitable and humble.
Would recommend this hotel for anyone looking for couple of days to explore Salzburg.
