The property is charming, located right at the gondola going up to skiing, sledding and winter fun. Also located a few steps to the sport store for rentals, the free shuttle to the train station, a restaurant/bar and small grocery store. The hotel has a sauna, which felt lovely after a day of snowshoeing and a beautiful, large indoor pool perfect for lap swimming, with a full wall of windows to look outside to the snowy mountains. It was the nicest indoor pool I have seen, and only didn’t go in because I was seeking warm therapy for my sore muscles rather than additional workouts this day. Breakfast was very nice for an additional 16chf per person and we opted for the delicious dinner one evening at 49 chef for the 3-course meal. We were very happy we did! The town is small, so make sure to determine what is open if you will be here beyond a weekend. We stayed Sunday night and the local restaurant was not open for dinner. Also, the shuttle stops running approximately 17:00, so make sure to arrange transport from the station to the hotel in advance if you will arrive later. It is walkable but approximately 15 minutes uphill. I would definitely come back to this hotel if we come back for an alpine weekend.

Very good location for skiing in Salvan

The old fashion look of this hotel is charming. The location ideal as the hotel is next to the telecabin to the slopes. The resort is small and not crowded. The food is fine but expensive(£20 for a soup and £50 for evening meal half board , wine extra). However the lady running the hotel is unpleasant. We had an unnecessary altercation regarding the use of the ( mostly empty) pool during off peak week. Be aware, guests' visitors have to pay a £13 fee although it is mentioned nowhere. One positive point: The two waitresses will bend over backwards to help clients. The owner won't!

Excellent location, great view, stiff beds

This hotel is absolutely beautiful, with a traditional lodge feel & a great location right next to the ski lift. The staff was very helpful, and managed to make us feel welcome even with a language barrier. Breakfast was also included, the rooms were clean, there is a ski storage room provided, and we enjoyed the sauna on site. However we also felt there were some drawbacks. Our double room was made up of two single beds pushed next to each other, with a gap between. They were also quite uncomfortable and the pillows were flat. We unfortunately did not sleep well while we stayed here. We were also disappointed that there was no coffee/tea kettle provided in the room, as we've grown accustomed to that in our travels to the UK and US. Lastly it would have been really nice if there had been hot tub near the pool to soak our sore muscles from skiing all day. But overall a positive experience and we would consider coming again.

Très bon accueil, personnel agréable, les chambres sont spacieuses, nous avons bien mangé, prix raisonnable. Nous conseillons volontiers cet hôtel.

Lors de la recherche, Hotel annoncé à environ 6km de Martigny. En réalité, il nous a fallu faire presque 11 km, sur une route de montagne des plus escarpées.... l'hôtel est au bout du monde....

Pros: Piscina
Cons: La ristorazione un pò eccessiva di prezzo per quanto ottenuto.
Location: In ottima posizione per le escursioni nella regione. Sarebbe da migliorare l'offerta per le "attrazioni turistiche" della regione.
Confortevole hotel ben tenuto con personale molto cordiale
