Quaint small hotel above a pub was nice. The room had been remodeled but certain items were still needing upgrading; old leaky windows, bathroom fixtures, and entry door hardware. I cannot remember the last time I used a skeleton key for a hotel room. The bathroom lacked an exhaust fan, the carpeting in the bath smelled musty and there was mold growing on the wall at the ceiling.

Thank yu for staying with us. We are in the process of upgrading the bathroom to match the main room. This should be done within the next 2 weeks.The room doors are due to get smart lock upgrades but due to the construction of the building the wifi is sometimes patchy making smart locks difficult to function.

The owner was pleasant and obliging, however, the accommodation was shabby and in places very untidy and dirty, which was not welcoming. Outside the part of the building in which the accommodation was located, there were discarded pieces of domestic rubbish and building rubbish. Overall this lack of care gives the impression of a place where we might also question hygiene, so we would not choose to visit again.

A bit dated but a lovely stay apart from that. Gets a bit noisy due to being so close to the road and railway, and single-glazing does not help much. However, rooms were lovely and comfy, and nicely decorated. Enjoyed watching films on TV in the evening from my cosy bed.

Rubbish outside the property. The Wi-Fi didn’t work.

Abigail, Sorry you couldn't get the wifi to work. The building has quite thick walls so very rarely there is a drop-out. I personally stayed in the same room as you the 2 nights before without issue. We will raise this with our supplier.We havent been at the pub very long and are struggling to get a clearance firm to remove the detritis someone dumped just before we took over.
