Beautiful relaxing place in a fabulous location

Posted 28 Aug 2017 on Ebookers
I had a wonderful 2 nights at blue zebra and wished I could have stayed longer. I was slightly concerned on booking about getting there as there wasn't much info on the website, but as soon as I confirmed my booking with ebookers the hotel was in touch to tel me everything I needed - including details on drivers from Lilongwe and how I could book a boat time to suit my arrival (at an extra cost which was very clear and totally worth it for an extra night). It was easy to find thanks to the very clear instructions provided; and the staff were all fabulous - from the boat man who picked me up, to the manager, to the bar staff and restaurant staff - not forgetting the fabulous cleaners who even cleaned and tidied my room the morning of check out as I had asked for a late check out!! The location is spectacular, I went on morning walks each morning, and the room incredibly comfortable and I had no problems with bugs. they are very clear on when there is electricity, and the wifi worked the whole time. The food was delicious, the drinks cheap, and the staff so seeet and helpful - never letting me carry back even a coffee mug to my room without helping!! I had the most wonderful stay, and will definitely be back. Many thanks to all, Jessica

A real gem

Blue Zebra was a special experience. The usland is beautiful, the welcome and service from all the staff was too quality. The food was excellent, varied and with plenty of choice and always well presented. If you want a place which was off the beaten track and which will give you a great reaxing holiday then this is hard to beat. would recommend to anyone.

Water holiday

It's paradise! We had spectacular weather, the beach was relaxing. Scuba diving in the lake was fun for the whole family, kayaking and snorkeling are good too. The tent rooms are basic and the food was fine. Waking up to all the birds singing and taking a hike at dawn were also highlights.

Remote location but worth it

Posted 13 Oct 2014 on Hotels
The location is quite remote and takes a while to get there from Lilongwe but once there it is worth the trip. Hosts Estelle and Matt and Steve were very friendly and accommodating, as were all the staff. Chalets are unique and very comfortable. Food was good and plentiful. We really enjoyed our stay!
