We go down to Salida twice a year for roller derby, and Loyal Duke is always more than accomodating if we bring our pups or need to have adjoining rooms. Will definitely revisit!

Someone really did a lot of work to make this older place very nice in many ways. The staff working in the office were very nice people. The lobby and breakfast area were A . I had a single room, since I was travelling alone. I just have 2 complaints. One, the lighting was very dim and eery, probably with flourescent bulbs. The room was very basic, which was fine, but the lighting made it seem creepy. The shower head in the bathroom was way too big for the shower stall. There was no adjustment to it, and the water sprayed onto the opposite wall. I’m only 5’2” so the only way I could get wet was to let the water splash on me from the wall. Very awkward. Other than that, this was a very convenient and nice low budget place to stay. There were several families enjoying the pool and hot tub, and many dogs all around. I would definitely stay here again, but maybe bring my own lamp!

We loved our stay at the Loyal Duke Lodge! We brought our puppy and the staff was so welcoming and friendly! We’ll definitely be back!

Pool and hot tub brought us here, it was nice to have after a long travel day.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Coffee and breakfast was a nice perk.
We had a room on the second floor, it was clean quiet and cozy.
Only thing I didn't love was the shower, drain was very slow and pressure wasn't good.
Overall I would go back👍

The walls are very thin. We could hear everything, everyone was doing or saying. We also had puppers next to us that didn't like hearing everything either.
