We stayed one Sunday night on way back to Cherbourg ferry. We were advised there was no point going in to town as it was late and nothing would be open. However the staff recommended the American steak bar next door and it satisfied our needs. Not very French but after a long drive a welcome place to stay and top up on the calories.

A new hotel

This was my first try with Brit Hotel - and I liked it. The room was new and well appointed. It was scrupulously clean. Despite the name, English was not widely spoken!

The receptionist in the morning was not very pleasant. The shower in the room should be changed due to poor condition. Good breakfast. Overall better than the Hotel Ibis which is located next door.

Really lovely hotel. Nice and clean. Very friendly welcome. Big room. Comfy beds. Hot shower. Brilliant. One thing is the male receptionist in the morning was a bit grumpy but we did leave early so perhaps he is not a morning person

Cost taken twice. Still no refund of £615

Hotel is clean, well priced and reception staff helpful. Major negative point is that the hotel was booked to pay on arrival. 5 days before arrival the full amount of £615 was blocked on my account to guarantee payment. This wasnt a problem however on arrival we were told that we need to pay again and they would remove the block from the account. Every other hotel( over 400 rooms booked in 2 yrs ) takes the block as payment. A week later and still no refund of the blocked amount. Hotels.com normally excellent service but they failed to assist

Friendly, clean, better than price/photos suggests

A built for purpose block off the main quiet road. This is a few frills experience as the price will suggest but I would say the staff were friendly, the service very prompt and rooms were clean and tidy. They appear to be a family run business and we’re smiley and helpful at all times. Simple but good breakfast and small lounge area with drinks. Happy to visit the area again.
