We had a wonderful stay at La Grande Carrée. The house was beautiful, Stéphane and Sophie were fantastic hosts (friendly and helpful) and the food was delightful (Sophie is an amazing chef). We will definitely stay at La Grande Carrée when we next visit Tours.

I highly recommend staying here as the hosts are excellent and rooms are very comfortable. It is an historic building with all the rooms being recently renovated. You get the best of both with a charming, rustic building and modern wonderful room. Wish I could stay longer and will be my first choice when returning to visit.

The owners are the most wonderful hosts. This chateau is a beautiful place to stay if exploring Tours and the Loire Valley region. Would have have stayed longer if we were able.

Effectivement, il vous a été facturé un supplément pour votre arrivée tardive, lequel vous est resté en travers de la gorge alors que vous en aviez été avertie par l’envoi d’un email suite à votre réservation et que la possibilité d’annuler sans frais vous avait été proposée. Accueillant et concilient nous considérons l’avons été compte tenu de votre faible amabilité à votre arrivée et nous le constatons maintenant de votre mauvaise foi. Vous oubliez de mentionner que pour vous arranger, nous vous avons préparé le petit déjeuner à 8h00 pour répondre à vos contraintes alors que nous le servons il est vrai normalement de 8h30 à 10h00 et…. vous n’êtes descendue le prendre qu’à 8h20. Quant à la maison ; nous sommes arrivés il y a 4 ans et depuis lors, de nombreux artisans locaux travaillant pour la majorité d’entre eux avec les monuments historiques et labellisés « patrimoine vivant » sont intervenus pour la restaurer. Nous sommes conscients qu’il reste encore du travail à accomplir et nous nous y appliquons jours après jours.Vous êtes arrivée à 21h50, êtes montée dans votre chambre et vous êtes partie à 8h35 du matin le lendemain. En dehors de votre chambre, du hall d’entrée et de la salle des petit déjeuner vous n’avez rien vu de la maison. Mais vous pouvez donc calomnier à loisir.
