Let me just say this is the nicest stay we have had in our many travels. The room was so big and beautifully done, the fireplace completed the welcoming, cozy feeling . I prefer the privacy of this B&B and being just outside of the city center where is so busy and noisy and just a short ride. The owners are so nice and welcoming. Mr Hung speaks English really well and is always willing to help set up a taxi ride, an activity or just answer any questions. His parents run the B&B during the day and are the nicest people. They offer breakfast options and they have been very good. Also if you wish to have dinner there, they’ll cook a Vietnamese dinner with various dishes, all excellent and plentiful for a small charge. Also offer laundry service, so convenient. My favorite part was the heating mattress pad you turn on if is cold and your muscles really thank you after the 7 mile muddy trek through the villages. The grounds are beautiful and well kept with a sense of peace walking in the gardens. I highly recommend it if you want to have a comfortable stay, peaceful setting away from the daily hustle of the city but conveniently located 2 km outside of city center.

Best in Sapa

Posted 31 Jan 2023 on Hotels
Weather great. This accommodation awesome. Beautiful design building and garden. This would have to be the best hotel in Sapa. We rode all around and didn't see any this good. The only thing they need is a separate gate at the other end with a footpath leading down to reception area. This avoids opening the big double gates. Beds are too hard and can't contour to your back. Otherwise everything else great.

Disappointing (only during Tet)

Posted 10 Feb 2019 on Hotels
I need to preface this review by saying that if we hadn’t have been there during Tet, I think our review would be much higher. It’s a gorgeous house and property. Very nice people! However, they took bookings even though they didn’t want to provide their normal services. They only let us know upon arrival that no breakfast or services would be offered. Normally, that would be okay with us, as we consider ourselves very flexible travelers. However, walking 3 miles (about 5km) uphill to get to town (way further than it states), to get to open restaurants was not ideal. Had they simply let us know they wanted to spend their Tet with family, we would have happily booked in somewhere else, as there were other open and fully operating hotels. The manager did “upgrade” our room but unfortunately that didn’t make up for the rest of the stay. Any other time of year, I will give this place the fullest recommendation, but not on Tet.

Beautiful building and friendly hosts

Posted 10 Nov 2017
We had a great time here. The rooms were spacious and the fireplace was perfect for keeping the room warm at night. The family was very nice and accommodating and the food was excellent. The house is located off the main road but tucked away down a hill so it feels very private and peaceful. It’s also just a 10 minute drive to the center of town. 100% recommend.

Nice garden, great for relaxing

Posted 17 Apr 2017 on Hotels
Great stay and we had one of the best order to cook breakfast for our trip in Vietnam. Nice garden and spacious room allow you to just stay in and relax. The staff do not speak English but the owner is a call away which is helpful. The fan in the room is making quite some noise and TV doesn't work in the room.

Nice hotel

Posted 29 Mar 2017
The hotel staff are all very friendly. However, most of the staff and the parents of the hotel owner doesn't speak English.. Therefore, it can be quite a problem communicating with them. But, the hotel owner is just a phone call away, so it's still quite OK. The room that we stayed in is quite spacious. But some of the amenities does not work. Examples are the heater in one of the bathroom does not work.. And the cable TV doesn't work too... All in all, the hotel is up to standard. With a big garden behind the hotel!

Charming and tranquil B & B in gorgeous garden.

Posted 27 Oct 2016
Pros: The quiet location and charming architecture and interior. Delicious breakfast too.
Cons: It is about 2 kms from Sapa which might bother some but it is an easy walk.
Location: Easy to taxi or walk to Sapa to shop, eat or undertake a trek. The manager can organize tours, transport to the B&B and a home cooked meal too.

Wonderful stay with Sapa Garden B&B

Posted 22 Sep 2016
Pros: Hospitality of the owner, our beauiful room
Cons: The toilet light perhaps? >.<
We had an enjoyable stay with Mr Pham! The bedroom was cozy and nice!! In love with the interior and exterior of the house. And more of it, we felt truly taken care when Mr Pham helped us to arrange the bus to pick us up from the B&B and even ensured that we managed to get into the bus! That's truly very nice of him! It takes a lot of effort and passion to maintain such a beautiful garden too! Overall, it was great and worth the stay :)
