Very friendly and accommodating
Posted 28 Jul 2018 on HotelsWe had a very good experience here. Clazina was so helpful (e.g., What good recommendations for local restaurants she gave us!) and accommodating. And it's a pleasant, short drive to many other enjoyable rural villages and more.

Comfort and peace in the Dutch countryside

Pros: Very welcoming, good facilities, great location
Cons: Plumbing may need some updating as it produced some noise (not major). Hot weather probably to blame for unpleasant smell when opening side window.
Location: Dwingelderveld is a beautiful nature reserve. Ruinen, Ansen, Dwingelo have very good restaurants. Giethoorn: boating + nature + quaint Dutch village.
We spent 4 lovely days in Het Heerenhuis. Great accommodation in a lesser known part of Holland. The surrounding countryside is surprisingly varied and offers great opportunities for cycling and walking. The host/owner goes out of her way to make you feel comfortable and we didn't lack anything during our stay. Only downside was that we left the door of the room open while enjoying the outside Jacuzzi and subsequently had lots of mosquitos to deal with in the room.

Sehr freundliche und bemühte Gastgeberin. Die Unterkunft ist in einer sehr ruhigen, ländlichen Umgebung gelegen. Das Zimmer war sehr schön und mit großzügigem Bad. Wir würden wieder kommen.
