Staff very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was good value. Difficult to find initially as not clearly signed. Should let visitors know upon booking that they should park in the Asda carpark.

Hi Heath, Thank you so much for the feedback. I am so pleased you found the breakfast to be good value. The hotel is having some exterior renovations and the signage has been removed in preparation for this. I will need to look further in to the point raised about letting visitors know where to park as I am under the impression this was sent via your confirmation email and also a day prior to the visit as a pre welcome email?

In the centre of town so plenty to do and convenient cheap parking

Cheap, very central. Walls paper thin, broken night sleep due to noisy neighbours. Phone in room but could not be connected to wall.

I am however pleased that you found the room to be good value for money, I have checked the phone and it looks as though the housekeeping team missed this off their checks; I have raised the concern with our contractors who are just finishing our six figure refurbishment to look at additional sound proofing in this room.

T v not working in the hotel. Parking a challenge , but such lovely staff…

Howard, Thanks for the feedback. I have since checked the TV and its now been resolved. Parking can be challenging but I understand the team on reception were very helpful and directed you to the carpark we have available and also sorted out inputting your reg number in to the parking app.

The room I assigned had a very strong smell of paint fumes that would have made me sick had I stayed. I turned on the tap in the bathroom and brown water came out. I explained this to the receptionist (who was very friendly and helpful) and asked for another room. He didn't have any so he kindly refunded my booking and found me another hotel nearby. I generally stay in budget hotels and hostels. I do not expect luxury - just basic facilities. But this is the first time I have been confronted with a room that was clearly not fit for human habitation.

Good Morning David,Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, as you would have noticed the hotel has just undergone a full refurbishment in all rooms, I appreciate the feedback regard paint fumes; the room had been decorated a few days prior to your arrival. I am yet to expereince any further feedback regarding brown water and I personally checked the room that you were due to arrive in and could not find any issues? to say that the room was not fit for human habitation I feel is a little strong. however I am pleased that you found my team helpful in organising another budget hotel in the area.

Lovely hotel in the mist of being refurbished it will be lovely when finished the bed was so comfortable Staff was most accommodating with was a real plus Would defiantly recommend the breakfast

The hotel was spot on for being right in the heart of the town . Beds were fantastic ,the staff couldnt be more helpfull We we definitely be returning Well done
