Absolutely beautiful property. Everything you need for a comfortable stay is provided plus more. Evening dinner drinks in the lounge room allows you to chat to fellow guests and a wonderful breakfast with various menu options cooked to order. Highly recommend this property.

Posted 24 Dec 2023 on HotelsThe west coast of NZ is extremely rural and poor. Typically that means marginal lodging. Marginal amenities. Cheap motels. We were so pleasantly surprised to find the Rumi lodge the exact opposite. Wonderful accommodations and food. What a wonderful breakfast. Literally five star. Cecelia, the host, was wonderful . Warm and inviting and so full of helpful info. Two thumbs way up for Rumi lodge.

This property was top shelf luxury and the innkeeper was so gracious. When we arrived she greeted us at the door, showed us around our room, started a fire in the fireplace. She gave us tourist sites like the glowworm dell 5 minutes.from the lodge, and printed us info on hikes for the next day. Breakfast was also delicious.

The service is great
The owner is very nice and quite helpful
Except the sound insulation effect of the room not that good， all the others is over our expection. Highly recommend to all

Beautiful lodge in lovely rural surroundings. Large spacious room and bathroom and great attention detail - lovely log fire, cosy lounge that made the stay extra special. Great breakfasts - Sue Ellen was a very attentive and helpful host - pointing out places to see, where to eat etc. Definitely recommend

Very quiet (there are only 4 rooms) and charming! The owner was friendly, helpful with suggesting places to sight-see, and very thoughtful in providing every amenity. Breakfast was perfect. Great stay!
