Great place with lots of character
Posted 20 Jan 2018 on WotifLovely colonial atmosphere. Spacious and comfortable, clean and quiet. Ross is well worth a visit. A quiet interesting town a little way off the highway so no noise. This accommodation is well recommended.

Rained hard so we didn't get the chance to walk the town. Lovely cottage.

What a shame you didn't get to see more of our small village. I'm sure you would have appreciated the ambience of the town if it hadn't been raining. We do need the rain though so maybe if you visit again it will be finel.

Historic bnb in an historic town
Posted 21 Oct 2017 on HotelsThe owners have done an excellent job in renovating sensitively so that the furniture and fittings are in keeping with the historic building and the beautiful Georgian town of Ross and also providing a comfortable bed and very clean rooms. The breakfast was good and little extra touches like a decanter of port were much appreciated. The property is in the centre of Ross so you can walk up the road to get a counter meal or have lunch at the bakery or sit and admire the historic stone bridge. A thoroughly enjoyable stay.

Very pleasant apartment situated on the main street close to shop and pub. Very comfortable place to rest and relax to take in all the Heritage attractions in the surrounding areas.

A Gem in the rough
Posted 22 May 2017Ross is a great town and Christopher Halls is a great location to stay. The room we had, a a fire place and the kitchen was equipped with everything you could think of. Our host was thoughtful, helpful and entertaining. The accomodation is not a hotel style accommodation it is more a old style B&B where you do everything for yourself...my wife and I thoroughly loved it!

Rudest People Ever Encounted
Posted 26 Feb 2017
Pros: Didn't get to even look at it.
Cons: Get rid of the Managers(?) or Owners - whoever they were.
Booked thru Expedia. Arrived 8:55pm to be told "no booking"
The woman actually accused me of booking 10 minutes ago, even though the email booking confirmation I showed her was dated some 2 weeks prior to the date.
Was told "Expedia are always stuffing up!"
Was told there is no alternative accommodation, you will have to try down the road at the motel. It was a busy weekend in Ross (rodeo nearby?) and there was not alternative accommodation anywhere.
Still trying to resolve this with Expedia and hopefully will get a full refund.
In the meantime, this rude woman should be avoided at all costs.
I had been excited to stay at what seemed a lovely location, but in future would give this a wide birth.

Ross is a historical town and full of things to see, Christopher Hall was central to everything. The accomodation is very much very much like stepping back in time but with all the modern touches.
