Ok let's start with the good, the ONLY good thing about this place is that it was right across the street from the Termini train station, which made it alot easier trying to get to FCO at 5am. Now, the not so good. Got there and there was a man and woman at the front desk (owners?), they were not very friendly at all but checked me in. Got up to my room which wreathed of smoke and on top of that the card holder to activate the lights was broken. Told the man he was not at all apologetic or empathetic, simply responding "that can't be the case" and telling me to use the card that he gave me (which I explained I tried and didn't work). He came up to my room with me and after seeing that I was right about exactly what I was describing he took several minutes to find a piece of cardboard that finally activated the switch. Besides that, the room wreathed of smoke and was overall so filthy that I had to wear my flip flops when I never do in most hotels, and used the bathroom as little as possible and didn't shower since I didn't trust that it was at all hygienic. Left my suitcase on my bed next to me while I slept since I didn't want to lay it out on the filthy floors. Bed was rock hard as well. Knowing that I was damaging my lungs every second I was in that hotel room and lying in who knows what kind of germs I got up at 4:30am and bolted right out. When I handed my keys back to the man he was again unfriendly and didn't thank me for my business or wish me safe travels

The bathroom had a lot of hair, very dirty. And the room too

I was in Rome to attend a meeting at the university La Sapienza. I read the earlier reviews and adjusted my expectations. I still had surprises though. I was asked to pay cash upon arrival which was not mentioned in my booking. My room was in this "other location" nearby which ended up being a unit within a large apartment building. The unit is connected to the main hotel via intercom and phone. The room was very new and clean. The wifi did not work throughout my two-day stay although they kept saying they are looking into it which led to unplanned data roaming charges for me. I would still rate the place 4/5 if the wifi had worked. I wanted to help eliminate the element of surprise for future travelers.

Dishonest! Double charged me for the room!

Do NOT stay at this Hotel! I can't believe I managed to get scammed but I'd be travelling all day with a 14 year old, our plane had been delayed and we arrived at the Hotel at 10pm, very tired and hungry. It was a one night stay, 25th June, 2023. The man on the front counter told me that the EFT machine wasn't working and could I pay cash. Which I stupidly did. The next morning I checked my credit card and it had also been billed for the room. I went down stairs and requested my cash back. They refused, I ended up in tears (I was not there on holiday, I was there to stay with my Mum as my partner had just died unexpectedly). They assured me that they would let Hotels.com know and my credit charge would be reversed. They gave me a rudimentary hand written receipt for the cash with the stamp of the hotel on it only after I requested it. It's now the 1st of September and I'm on hold AGAIN to Hotels.com trying to get my money back after many calls and emails. Hotels.com requested the refund from the hotel for the credit card charge. No surprises that they refused to refund me. They are dishonest and will rip you off at any opportunity, please do not give them your business!
