The property itself is gorgeous. The only downsides are 1. food on resort is a bit of a miss (not enough simple, local dishes in favor of fancy over-the-top dishes ) although breakfast was lovely and 2 you have to have a car to get to Tropea as the resort is isolated and there is not much to do in terms of activities or entertainment. If the weather is nice, you are in for a treat because their beach staff is impeccable and their grounds are breathtaking.

Secret Place in Calabria, not to be missed !
Posted 28 Jul 2021 on HotelsFabulous stay, as last years (we are return guests, as is most of the hotels guests). Perfect service, outstanding food, gorgeous property, nice sandy beach (however with rocks in the water, perfection doesnt exist), the water in the sea is surreal clean, perfect family holidays spot ! But quality and exclusivity comes with a price ! This is not a bargain price hotel !!! We will save money and come back next year for sure. What a delightful small property !

Good value and generaly positive stay
Posted 21 Jul 2019 on HotelsA very interesting resort. The accommodation itself is very good and the grounds are neat and well maintained. Service is conscientious but a bit of a mixed bag because a lot of the staff do not speak good English. The resort does seem to be popular with German and local guests - the main languages spoken by staff seem to be Italian and German. For those who take a meal package, there is a very good selection for breakfast and dinner, and the quality is generally high, although it takes a while to understand the dinner offering; some nights are full buffet whereas other nights are buffet for appetisers but a la carte for main. Wine choice is relatively limited and the cocktail bar staff's repertoire (even for menu items) is limited. But overall a lovely spot on a glorious beach and a generally positive and good value experience for a beach break with young kids.

Posted 22 May 2019 on HotelsThe Baia del Sole wasn't open in time for our stay, but they kindly set us up at a beautiful hotel the Capivaticano Thelessa Spa which was stunning and had an amazing breakfast. Very helpful and hard working staff. Thank you for such a great stay!!
