You get what you pay for. It’s a hostel and not a 5-star hotel.

There were a lot of people, probably the largest one I've ever encountered. Over 200 beds. I'm not quite a fan of it since I didn't find it homely. The bedsheets were itchy. The bedroom was too hot and humid, but later in the night, it became freezing cold. It's also in downtown, so driving may not be an issue, but if you are planning to drive the Ring Road in Iceland which is highly recommended, parking is very limited here

Amazing atmosphere for guests. Clean bedrooms and bath. I would stay here again!

I booked an eight bed room, and for some reason I was put in a 14 bed room with no explanation. I should have been offered a discount for the room difference, but I was not. I was extremely disappointed.

* Some staff were unhelpful. No tour of the property and waiting around to get serviced at the bar.
* Rooms and showers were clean.
* Specifically booked mixed dorms and they weren’t mixed.
* Property was always warm.
* Nice food.
Decent but more effort is needed. Most likely won’t stay there again on my next visit.
