WHAT A GEM !! A clean, quiet hotel in an old mining town tucked awat in the mountains. A MUST SYAY if you're ever in the area. The staff was relatable and friendly.

Very comfortable and had everything we needed, but was very expensive for being so far from Vail and the a/c didn't work.

Thank you for your feedback, we are happy that you overall enjoyed your time in Red Cliff. We apologize about the AC - we do not normally turn that feature on in the hotel until the warmer months. In the future, we do have fans available for the rooms and screens on the window to allow for cooler air to circulate during the winters. We hope to welcome you again!

Don't stay here
Posted 11 Mar 2024 on HotelsI was scheduled to stay on a Sunday night; however, when I landed in Denver, I learned that a snow storm had shut I70 down. The hotel called me to let me know about this, so I explained to them that I'd just prefer to stay in Denver and not risk sleeping in my car to get to them. They told me they wouldn't refund my money.
Ultimately, I had to charge back the stay through Chase. If that doesn't work, I will have to sue them to get my $227. What a place that won't even refund your money if you can't get to them. Take a note. Don't work with hotels.com or prepay ever.

We make it very clear on our website and in our booking policies that we are not responsible for adverse weather or road closures. As we are a hotel in a mountain environment, these types of issues can be common and happen at any time. We always encourage guests to get travel insurance, which is also offered through the third party booking partners like Hotels.com. We have received the chargeback, and will respond with our policies. I'm sorry that this was how you experienced the hotel, and wish that your travel hadn't been interrupted by the Colorado winters.

Great off the beaten path getaway
Posted 7 Mar 2024 on HotelsThe staff is outstanding and rooms were clean, comfortable and good sized. Great spot to safe a little on a ski vacation. Little mini mart and liquor store attached as well. Beautiful drive.

Lovely inn located in a very unique town. Room was great. Bed was good but pillows were not so good. TV didn't work or we couldn't figure it out. We will come back when in the area.
