After my previous night at a Choice Hotel, IHG Holiday Inn at RDU was excellent in comparison. Staff were courteous, smiling and made me feel valued as a guest. Thanked me for being a member of the IHG club and checked me in seamlessly. I feel safe and respected. Thank you HI @RDU I will be back.

Pool was out of order and the tub had black hairs in it that housekeeping never came for. These are the reasons why there was one star missing.

The first impression is a pleasant hotel, new, clean. But the night was terrible. We had a room with two queen beds. One of the beds was very pressed in, the second was creaking. The air conditioner is very loud, whistles and the air flow direction is not regulated, it blew into my head all night and so I woke up in the morning with a runny nose. The ventilation in the elevator is turned off, so it is very stuffy there. There are tufts of hair floating in the water in the pool, apparently the water is not cleaned. The only thing I liked was the location near the airport
