Excellent place to stay
Posted 27 Aug 2023 on HotelsThe hotel completely exceeded our expectations! We booked at the last minute as our travels plans were changed, and just needed a hotel that suited a young family. We were due to arrive very late and after the check-in desk closed, but when we spoke with the hotel they said 'no problem'. The cleanliness and spaciousness of our room was perfect - far exceeded my expectation. Quiet, comfortable, cosy duvet and really good location for continuing our journey in the morning. Additional bonus was the buffet breakfast in the morning that we didn't realise was included! Freshly cooked eggs, warm croissants, home made jam and bread, fruit, cheese, meats etc. Wonderful. Would highly recommend this hotel and a real gem of a find!

A truly lovely property. We previously visited in 2020 and they have done a lot of work to the site since then, adding a new wing of rooms where we stayed. The fittings were of a very high standard. We missed a kettle in the room but it did not take anything from the experience. A fan would have been helpful - it was very hot when we stayed and the road noise meant we could not sleep with our windows open.
