Property is really nice, peaceful and enjoyable. To get there you have to go though gravel road for 12 km form the main road that was bit harder but it's worth it.

What a fantastic, relaxing place to stay. 14km down a dirt road and next to the Kootenay River, Nipika is secluded and quiet. It's also off-grid so it relies on solar power and propane - no TVs or mobile/cell reception here, so it's a great place to relax, unwind and enjoy the view! The cabin we stayed in was amazing, really comfortable and had one hell of a view. We will definitely be back here. For those wanting to be active, it's also a great place - loads of places to hike, bike, canoe etc and in winter, Nordic ski. Bring everything you need in, it's about a 40-45 minute drive to Radium to get anything (which isn't bad but that's time you could spend relaxing, unless you're heading to the hot springs anyway!). The only issue we had during our stay was the propane fridge letting off some propane one night, which set off the CO detector around midnight. The good news is the CO detector works!! Anyway these things happen with propane appliances, the staff fixed the issue in the morning when I reported it, and said I should have woken someone up to fix it then and there, but we were okay not disturbing anyone so late at night and having a window open for ventilation. The point is, if anything doesn't go quite right - just let the staff know and they'll sort it out!
